Oskari Laurila on podium at Europe Class Open Week

Three best Finnish sailors represent EPS.

The first part of the Europe Class World Championship regatta, Open Week, was finished on Monday  in Douarnenez, France.

Sailing Team Finland is joining the event with young but hungry team which was showing strong progress and performance during the Open Week this year. Oskari Laurila was on a podium (3rd place), Aleksi Saarni 8th and Lars Habermacher 12th (out of 98 Open Week sailors). During the four days of sailing, Aleksi and Oskari were in Top 10 in most races and each also won one race.

The whole team flashed their potential during the Open week – for example most of them sailing Top 10 positions during the 4th day of the Open Week.

The event will continue on Tuesday 6th July with measurements and after some rest and relaxation Team Finland will be ready for the first racing day of the Worlds 2022 on Friday.
