Ines Ruohela finished 5th in the 2023 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy regatta sailed in Cadiz, Spain. A record number (166 sailors) of competitors from 25 countries sailed in the girls’ series.
The varying conditions put the sailors through a tough test in the Cadiz Bay area. During the qualifying days, the Levante wind blew with a force of 20-28 knots from the east, while during the final days, a light Poniente wind prevailed from the west. Ines managed to sail a solid series in varying conditions and achieved a fantastic 5th place in the regatta.
